Larry is a Seattle-based graphic designer and stencil artist who approaches art from a background in photo journalism, art history and graphic design. For him, stenciling is an extension of these disciplines. His stencils are a reaction to current technology that produces flawless illustrations and graphics, by breaking down an image into individual elements to express emotion. Stenciling, which can be full of minor imperfections, reflects the reality of life and conveys emotions in a way that is unachievable in other mediums.
